Redeemer exists to bring the historic Christian faith to Athens, Georgia. We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and are located in the heart of downtown.
our story
TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO…
Redeemer started as a small Bible study in a living room. From there, we moved to the historic Firehouse on Prince Avenue, then the Fire Hall at the Classic Center, and finally– to the old Firestone Tire Building on Pulaski & Broad that we still call home.
A CHURCH FOR THE CITY
Redeemer desires to be a place where both Christians and non-Christians can grapple with the implications of Jesus Christ. We long to love God and love Athens— serving Him and our city well.
OUR HOPE
We hope that Redeemer might be a community where we can explore the claim that Christianity is of infinite importance and that the only way to live a full and true life is to know, love, and serve the God who made us in His image.
