Community Groups

Community Groups are a door to the life of Redeemer. Our goal is fellowship around scripture. – sharing our lives together as we participate in the Word and prayer together. In this way, the growth of our relationships remains connected to growth in our knowledge of God’s Word and a growing relationship with God himself. It is our belief that genuine community is developed as people study God’s word and seek to apply the gospel in our commitments to one another. Rather than being an addition to our community, we want the Bible to shape us into a Christ honoring community.

Groups, limited to 15 adults, meet weekly in homes throughout the Athens area. All groups are led by trained lay-leaders from the congregation who receive continued oversight and support from our pastoral staff.

Because we’re made for community, we need others to help us apply the gospel to our lives. Our hope is that everyone who attends our church will be involved in a Community Group.

When do groups begin?

Community Groups will begin the week of August 27th!

How do I join a group?

You can join a community group anytime!

In searching for a Community Group, you may want to pick a group that meets on a night that is best for you, or by a location that is convenient to your home. Please reach out to office@redeemerathens.com if you need more help joining a group!
