Redeemer exists to bring the historic Christian faith to bear on Athens in the hope and expectation that as we proclaim the reality of the resurrected Christ, visible changes will occur in the quality of its spiritual, social, and material life.
With our vision in mind, it is the policy of Redeemer to conduct mercy ministry with a Christ-centered focus, understanding that mercy ministry is an offering of praise to the resurrected Christ, a crucial element in the fellowship of the body of Christ, and a vital part of bringing the Christian faith to bear on Athens. As the Lord Jesus is working through the power of the Holy Spirit to reverse the effects of the Fall in the lives of his people, our ministry efforts aim to alleviate those effects in both their spiritual and material manifestations.
