Bridgemont Summer Youth Mission

Bridgemont Summer Mission

Trip Dates: Sunday, May 31 - Thursday, June 4

Join us this summer as we head back to the Tennessee mountains to serve the community around the Katy Holler area. Our base-camp will be Bridgemont Camp & Outdoor Center.  The primary focus of our time will be manual labor, serving the poor in rural areas outside of Pigeon Forge, hosting an outreach/community event at the camp, and helping serve the ministry of Bridgemont by completing some much needed maintenance around camp. We'd love for you to join us! This trip was a crowd favorite and we are so excited to be headed back to Bridgemont.

The total cost of the trip is $500-- beginning with a $150 deposit to save your spot. We will have a team meeting in the coming months to discuss fundraising. Each individual will be responsible for raising the full amount of their trip.

Fundraising Dates + Team Meeting: TBD

The Timothy Project Lunch
Apr

12:00 PM12:00

The Timothy Project Lunch

The Timothy Project is a gathering for high school students and young adults who sense a possible calling to vocational ministry. Inspired by Paul’s investment in Timothy, this group aims to be an avenue for encouragement, discernment, and a dialogue about what it means to serve in ministry.

We will meet throughout the year over lunch to explore God’s calling together, hear from experienced ministry leaders, and learn about practical next steps. Each gathering features a different guest speaker who shares insight into different areas of ministry—such as life as a missionary, local church leadership, internships, seminary pathways, and other ministry opportunities.

The Timothy Project is a place to ask questions, seek wisdom, and prayerfully discern where God may be leading. Whether you are confident in your calling or simply curious about ministry, you are welcome to join us.

Our first lunch will be April 12th after worship!

Contact Wes, Morgan, or Dean to RSVP!

RPCYouth City Project
Jun
8
to Jun 12

RPCYouth City Project

What is City Project? City Project is RPCYouth's in-town "mission trip." We'll complete various projects around the Athens that focus on Neighbor, Church, and City. These will range from manual labor (building, gardening, painting, cleaning) to service (cooking, serving food) and lots of in between! Students will get assigned a project or two every day so there's a good variety.

Sounds awesome! Who can sign-up to come? Any rising 7th-grader (for the 2025 school year) and up can join! Graduating seniors can sign-up to serve as a volunteer Team Leader (at no cost!)

I still have questions! Where will we sleep?

We'll be at Redeemer! Girls will take over the nursery/lobby side and boys will take over the adult education side of the main building. Bring an air mattress or a cot and you're good to go!

What about showers? It IS a mission trip… so this won’t be the life of luxury— but there WILL be showers for you.

And what about food? Breakfast will be eaten together at the church before we leave for projects, and during that time you’ll also make a lunch to take with you. At night, we’ll split into groups and visit various restaurants around town. These will likely be places you’ve never tried before, so come with an open mind! The idea is to get to know all the facets of our city via different cuisine. Some students have found their new favorite places to eat through City Project!

This all sounds great— but why should I come? Jesus tells us the greatest commandment is to ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” As we seek to love and honor God, we are to love our neighbor. This is our way of getting involved in what Athens as a city has going on, and how we can partner with ministries our church is already involved with. We’d love to have you come and see what God is doing in our city!

Awesome. How much does City Project cost? It’s $100, which covers all your food and helps with supplies for projects— and a t-shirt!
